April 30, 2014 Wednesday Letter

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all the students who had their moment in the spotlight at last week’s Talent Show! Every performer was truly wonderful and we were so happy to see the kids have so much fun! Our next evening together as a school community will be on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:00 PM for our Graduation and Honors Celebration. All students will be recognized for their outstanding achievements, and of course, we will have a fabulous send-off for our seniors. If you would like to help with the cost of sheet cakes and punch for the Honors Reception, please contact me.

The Measures of Academic Progress(MAP) standardized tests will be administered next week on May 5, 6 & 8. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest, has a good breakfast and arrives to school on time. We assure students that these tests are for our information about the effectiveness of our teaching and our program and we place no pressure on the students for performance. The students are only encouraged to do their very best. Accommodations are in place to support each child’s individual needs so that the testing experience creates minimal concerns. Test results will be sent home shortly before parent-teacher conferences at the end of May.

All the best,

Mrs. Lori Riti
