Speech-Language Pathologist

DeLaSalle Academy has an immediate opening for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. Located in Southwest Florida in the city of Fort Myers, the private, non-profit school serves a maximum of 145 students in grades 1-12 with special learning needs. The student population includes students with specific learning disabilities, ADHD, language impairments, Asperger’s Syndrome, high functioning autism and mild mood disorders. In addition, a companion functional academics program serves students with lower cognitive abilities. Salary and benefits are competitive and aligned with experience. Candidates must have a master’s degree and be licensed by the State of Florida as an SLP. The caseload ranges from 30-40 students. Our service delivery model includes both pull-out small group therapy and push-in whole class therapy. In addition to language therapy, the Speech Pathologists provide support for students exhibiting social deficits. Training in Winner’s Social Thinking Program is a plus. De LaSalle Academy has a dynamic and collaborative team of teachers, SLPs, OTs and administrators who regularly interact to share findings, progress and observations to better plan and respond to each child’s needs.
