January 21, 2015 Wednesday Letter

Dear Parents,

This week we are preparing for parent-teacher conferences and your child’s 2nd quarter report card is enclosed for your review. It is always a pleasure to meet with parents to maintain an effective partnership on behalf of the student. Please remember that school will be dismissed at 12:15 this Thursday and there will be no school on Friday, so teachers can meet with every family. Thank you in advance for arriving on time and helping to keep the conference schedule on track. If you should need more than the 30 allotted minutes, we are happy to schedule a time for continuing discussion.

Also enclosed, you will find the registration packet for returning students. The deadline is February 18 for students who plan to return in August 2015.

Next week, from Tuesday, January 27 through Thursday, January 29 we will be conducting the Measures of Academic Progress assessment. Thank you for maximizing your child’s ability to perform well on the tests by ensuring everyone gets a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast. Arriving on time is also more important than ever on test days.

Have a stellar week!

Mrs. Riti

The registration deadline for returning students is February 18. The registration fee is $250, due on February 18. Open registration for new students for 2015-16 begins on February 19. Openings available at that time are offered to new applicants. As we enter registration season, it is good to keep in mind that parents seeking tuition assistance will need to have verification of income for 2014 in time to apply for this aid. Valid verification includes the W-2 forms for 2014 and the IRS 1040 form for 2014 (or 2013). Applications for assistance will not be reviewed until these documents are submitted to F.A.C.T.S. for verification.

Checks will be in the office and available for your signature from February 2-6.  Please plan to sign your check during that period. If your child rides the bus, your driver will bring the check for signature of the payee on the check.

Students in Levels D, E, I, and J are invited to the Middle School Dance on February 6, 6:30-9:30 PM. Please see the enclosed flyer for more information.

LEGACY BRICKSOur first order deadline has been extended to January 31!

De LaSalle Academy Legacy Bricks are a great way to honor people who have made a difference in our lives.  The cost of a brick is only $125.  This is a wonderful way to honor family and friends, commemorate special occasions, or remember loved ones while helping your child’s school with a great fundraiser.  Our goal is to place 300 Legacy bricks on campus by February. Although orders will be taken on an on-going basis, please return your Legacy Brick order form no later than January 31 to be included in the first group.
