January 7, 2015 Wednesday Letter

Dear Parents,

Happy New Year to all! We welcome 2015 and all the opportunities it holds for our students! New clubs are on the way this month, and other clubs and sports are resuming.  We are also approaching the end of Quarter 2 on January 15, followed by report cards on January 21 and parent-teacher conferences on January 22-23. Please complete the enclosed Conference Preference form and return it to school tomorrow so we can consider your needs when scheduling this month’s conferences.

Here’s to a Happy January!

Mrs. Riti

NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

 LEGACY BRICKS

De LaSalle Academy Legacy Bricks are a great way to honor people who have made a difference in our lives.  The cost of a brick is only $125.  This is a wonderful way to honor family and friends, commemorate special occasions, or remember loved ones while helping your child’s school with a great fundraiser.  Our goal is to place 300 Legacy bricks on campus by February. Although orders will be taken on an on-going basis, please return your Legacy Brick order form no later than January 15 to be included in the first group.

GROUNDHOG JOB SHADOW DAY FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

We are pleased to announce the first annual De LaSalle Academy Groundhog Job Shadow Day! Groundhog Job Shadow Day is day where students are able to watch, listen, and learn firsthand about a “day in the life of a professional”, gain insight into various career pathways within an industry, and learn more about specific companies and career opportunities. It allows students to spend a day with a professional to see various career paths firsthand. Our fiRst Groundhog Job Shadow Day will take place on Monday, February 2. In lieu of coming to school that day, students will be experiencing a potential career interest first hand. Parents are responsible for setting up the placement and providing transportation to and from the venue. Please review the enclosed packet for more information and contact Mrs. Amrine if you have any questions. (kamrine@delasallefm.org)

YEARBOOKS: Please remember that we are looking for your photos to consider for the school yearbook. You may upload documents to the school (see December newsletter) or email documents directly to Ms. Urbanska at murbanska@delasallefm.org.
