Welcome to Ms. Strom’s Website. As School Counselor, I get to interact with the students, staff and parents in many different ways to help promote positive socio-emotional growth. Some of the wonderful opportunities available to our students include:

  • Individual counseling
  • Small group counseling
  • Classroom guidance
  • Social Thinking
  • Attend and participate in academic and behavioral intervention meetings
  • Observe students in various school environments
  • Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and outside therapy providers to provide a positive learning environment for students
  • Respond to school crises or emergency situations
  • Provide information and resources to parents on a variety of issues

Giggle Poetry:   A really fun site. Students can read poems and grade them with an A to F! Reading poetry helps students increase their fluency.      http://www.gigglepoetry.com/

Math Fact Monster:  This website helps students work on increasing their math skills  in a fun way (facts, money, fractions and more).  http://www.factmonster.com/mathmoney.html

Math Baseball – Funbrain:  Funbrain will give the student a math fact problem for the students to answer.  http://www.funbrain.com/math/math

Math Fact Practice: This website also works on providing math fact practice for students. It is always better to err on going to easy and having students increase their level rather than decrease it – they think of it as progress!  http://www.playkidsgames.com/games/mathfact/default.htm
