While a child may meet the eligibility requirements for more than one state scholarship, only one can be utilized during a calendar year.

McKay Scholarships

The McKay Scholarship program will sunset at the end of the 2021-22 school year.

Previous recipients may be eligible for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA).

Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities formerly Gardiner Scholarship

The FES-UA provides scholarships to eligible students for approved services and products.

The average FES-UA award is $10,000. To be eligible a student must:

  • Have a diagnosed disability that meets eligibility requirements (includes Autism
  • Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Language Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, and others)
  • Have an IEP or a formal diagnosis from a licensed physician or psychologist

The FES-UA is not based on financial need

The FES-UA is administered by two organizations:

The Hope Scholarship

Hope Scholarships are available to Florida public school students who have been bullied

The Hope Scholarship is not based on financial need

The Scholarships are administered by Step Up for Students (www.stepupforstudents.org)

De LaSalle Academy Scholarships

De LaSalle Scholarships are based on financial need. No child should be denied access to a quality education, so we encourage any family in need of assistance to apply online.

Receipt of one of the state scholarships listed above does not disqualify a family for a De LaSalle Academy Scholarship

De LaSalle Academy utilizes FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to help evaluate requests for financial aid
